State Bank of India has announced SBI Clerk Recruitment 2026 for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales). The latest special recruitment drive has 1,538 backlog vacancies and is specifically for eligible SC, ST and OBC candidates. Online applications are open from 7 August 2026 to 27 August 2026.

Qualification
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University.
- Candidates in the final year/semester can also apply provisionally.

- For Tamil Nadu, the required local language is Tamil.
Salary Details
- Starting Basic Pay: ₹26,730 per month
- Pay Scale: ₹24,050 – ₹64,480
- Approximate Starting Emoluments: Around ₹46,000 per month in metro locations.
- Additional benefits include allowances, provident fund, pension, medical benefits and leave-fare facilities.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
- Age calculated as on 01.04.2026.
- Candidate must have been born between 02.04.1998 and 01.04.2006.
Age Relaxation
- OBC: 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per applicable rules
- Other eligible categories will receive relaxation according to the recruitment rules.

Selection Process

- Local Language Proficiency Test
- Candidates must qualify the applicable local language test before appointment.
- Candidates who studied the specified local language in Class 10 or 12 and provide valid proof may be exempt from the language test.
- Preliminary exam marks will not be considered for the final merit list.
