• Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)

These are rural postal service roles under the Department of Posts.

Qualification

• Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) from a recognized board

• Mathematics and English should be compulsory subjects

• Knowledge of the local language of the applied postal circle is mandatory

• Basic computer knowledge is required

• Ability to ride a bicycle is expected for delivery-related duties

Salary Details

• GDS / ABPM: ₹10,000 – ₹24,470 per month

• BPM: ₹12,000 – ₹29,380 per month
  Salary includes applicable allowances as per India Post norms.

• Maximum Age: 40 years

• Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD and other reserved categories as per government rules
