Southern Railway has released the Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification for training opportunities across various divisions, workshops and units. A total of 4,471 Apprentice training slots are available, including 4,308 Ex-ITI Apprentice positions and 163 Fresher positions.

Qualification

• Fresher: 10th Pass with a minimum of 50% marks for eligible trades.
• Medical Laboratory Technician: 12th Pass with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Ex-ITI: 10th Pass + relevant ITI Trade Certificate from NCVT/SCVT.
• Candidates must satisfy the trade-specific educational requirements mentioned in the notification.

Salary Details

• 10th Pass Fresher: ₹8,200 per month
• 12th Pass Fresher: ₹9,600 per month
• Ex-ITI: ₹9,600 per month

Age Limit

• Fresher: 15 to 22 years
• Ex-ITI / MLT: 15 to 24 years
• SC/ST: Age relaxation as per government rules
• OBC: Age relaxation as per government rules
• PwBD: Age relaxation as per applicable rules
