The Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) invites applications from qualified and dedicated sports professionals for the post of Coach under the TN SDAT Recruitment 2026. This recruitment aims to strengthen sports training and athlete development across Tamil Nadu by appointing skilled coaches in various sports disciplines, including Para-sports.

  Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Canoeing & Kayaking, Cycling, Fencing, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi, Swimming, Diving, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Para Powerlifting, Wheelchair Fencing, and other notified disciplines.

Qualifications

For Coach (Regular):

• Bachelor’s Degree (minimum 3 years duration) from a recognized university.

• One-year Diploma / Certificate in Sports Coaching (minimum 10 months) from a recognized sports coaching institution
  OR

• Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Coaching from a recognized Physical Education / Sports University.

• Must have represented Tamil Nadu at National-level sports competitions or recognized university championships in the relevant discipline.

For Coach (Para):

• Bachelor’s Degree (minimum 3 years duration) from a recognized university.

• Must have represented Tamil Nadu State in National-level competitions for persons with benchmark disabilities.

Salary Details

• Pay Level: Level-12

• Salary Range: ₹35,600 – ₹1,30,800 per month

• Additional allowances will be applicable as per Government of Tamil Nadu rules.

Age Limit

(As on 01 July 2026)

Coach – Regular

• SC / SC(A) / ST / MBC / BC / BCM / Destitute Widows: 21 to 50 years

• Others: 21 to 45 years

Coach – Para

• Persons with benchmark disability: 21 to 55 years

Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.
