Qualifications

The required educational qualifications vary based on the post:

For Meteorologist / Scientific Posts:

• Master’s Degree in Meteorology / Physics / Mathematics / Atmospheric Science / Oceanography / Computer Science / Electronics or related fields.

For Scientific Assistant / Technical Posts:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Science / Engineering / Technology from a recognized institution.

For Clerical Posts (UDC / LDC / DEO):

• 12th Pass or Graduate (as per post)

• Typing skills/computer proficiency may be required

For MTS:

• 10th Pass from a recognized board

Salary Details

Salaries will be offered as per 7th Pay Commission guidelines:

• Level 10: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (for Scientist/Meteorologist)

• Level 6: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 (for Scientific Assistant)

• Level 4–5: ₹25,500 – ₹81,100 (for Clerical/Technical Staff)

• Level 1: ₹18,000 – ₹56,900 (for MTS & equivalent posts)

Additional allowances such as DA, HRA, TA, and other benefits apply.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years

• Maximum Age: 30 Years (varies depending on post)

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years

• OBC: 3 years

• PwD: 10–15 years

• Other categories as per Government norms
